The One Planet Life Food Focus Journey considers the impact of what you eat, food agriculture, and the plastic surrounding our food on the health of individuals and the planet.

Industrial animal agriculture is one of the greatest causes of greenhouse gas emissions globally, and Americans consume almost twice the amount of protein recommended for a healthy diet. Wasteful single-use plastic is pervasive in food packaging. Landfill-bound food waste creates methane gas, which is 25 times more potent than carbon dioxide. As a result, the health of our bodies and the planet is suffering.
The Food Focus journey seeks to encourage greener food habits.
Greener food habits include buying locally grown produce, eating what’s in season, and incorporating more vegetarian and vegan meals into your weekly rotation. It also encourages you to divert organic food scraps from landfills and reduce the single-use plastic surrounding your food.
After following the Food Focus journey for one year, you would be able to reduce your carbon footprint by a total of 1,711 pounds of CO2 – only 494 pounds away from your goal to reduce 1 ton of CO2. Now that’s progress you can feel good about!
